Extra Curricular Clubs

 
Listed below are all of the extra curricular clubs we currently run here at Robertsbridge.

Monday  

Music Tech Alliance pupils learn how to set up recording and live performance equipment, use professional music producing software and learn how to set up and use a recording studio

 

Hockey club - open to all years and for all abilities. Most who come to the club have never had the opportunity to play hockey before . Trainers required for the session .

 

Year 7 Football Club – bring kit

 

Gardening Club - runs most lunchtimes throughout the year – see Mrs Richardson for details

 

Languages – C4 open for pupils to study languages every lunchtime

 

Bug Club – for those that love creepy crawly things see a Science teacher. Runs every lunchtime.
 
Tuesday  

School Band - the school band welcomes any instrumentalist keen to play and perform a range of music in a large ensemble. All musical abilities, instruments and styles welcome!

 

Chess Club

Tuesday and Friday Lunch times in A3.

With Mr Carthew and Mr Bourner.

Computing Club - we are doing a range of things including programming micro:bits and Raspberry Pis.

GCSE Drama Drop In (starts after October Half Term) for Year 11 GCSE Drama Students

School Band - the school band welcomes any instrumentalist keen to play and perform a range of music in a large ensemble. All musical abilities, instruments and styles welcome!

 

Netball Club - runs every Tues from 3:20 -4:20pm.  It is for all ages – PE kit required.

Wednesday  

School Musical - rehearsals for the upcoming production of Schools Will Rock You!

 

Mathematical Origami/Papercraft – To run Wednesday Lunchtimes with Miss Powell

 

Wargaming club -
Students play tabletop strategy games, both sci-fi and fantasy. They make model scenery and paint their armies, we take part in the Games Workshop Schools league each year.

Basketball Club

All years, boys and girls welcome. Fixtures will be booked in against other schools hopefully.

The club is a chance for pupils to improve their skills, game play and get fitter.

Vocal Ensemble students are welcome to join in a vocal ensemble and sing a wide range of musical material

History Club - investigates history we don’t study in class. We have recently looked at the Battle of Hastings and will be looking at other historical events such as the Gunpowder Plot, Remembrance and Christmas throughout history. Open to all.

 

Lego Club -

Come along to A10 on Friday lunch times to join East Sussex's most prestigious gathering of architectural and engineering experts. From gravity defying bridges to machines of perpetual motion, pop in to work alongside the team in testing out the boundaries of physics.

Film Club

Starts after half term every Friday lunchtime in A11. See Mrs Wallis for more information.
