Robertsbridge Community College has been lucky enough to be involved in the education of some very successful students. Here we have a snapshot of a few of those students and where they are now.

Advice to pupils at Robertsbridge.C.C.:

School is not about how clever you are or, how clever your friends are but in fact it is about practicing skills that you will need later. Life is about finding what you are good at and what you are interested in, after all not everyone will be a rocket scientist. Above all, remember, have fun whilst you are there!!

Current Occupation:
Student at Bexhill college studying Biology, psychology and maths, I also did AS Art last year. Hoping to go to University of Surrey to study Psychology next year.
Best Memories of Robertsbridge C.C.:
Prom was really good, the whole evening felt special and it was a great way to say goodbye to friends that were going to different colleges and sixth forms and teachers that I had known since year 7. Also the Christmas reviews especially in years 7 and 8 as they were something you looked forward to for ages and they never disappointed! It was something festive and definitely got you in the Christmas spirit!
Advice to pupils at Robertsbridge C.C.:
Work hard as your GCSE’s are with you for life, but enjoy the breadth you get at secondary school as you never really get that again. But most of all enjoy being there as much as possible because it really is a great school to be a part of. |

Current Occupation:
Studying BSc Economics & Mathematics at Warwick University after graduating from Bexhill College with straight A’s in Mathematics, Further Mathematics & Economics
Best Memories of Robertsbridge C.C.:
Winning our year 11 football final in Eastbourne. 2-0 down at half time from two long balls, after a rousing speech from Mr Scowen, we steamed into the second half and lead 3-2, letting in a late goal to make it 3-3. Straight to penalties, and Robert Perret, head boy at the time, saved their first, and my best mate Tom Cauvain slotted in our last penalty to win the tie, fantastic!
Advice to pupils at Robertsbridge C.C.:
Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Teachers are people too, and they become teachers because they want to help each and every pupil, so take advantage while you can!
