The Headteacher
Dear visitor,
I would like to extend a very warm welcome to Robertsbridge Community College to you all.
When you walk through the doors to this College, you are greeted by information on the Media screen that states that this is a unique College due to it being the smallest in East Sussex. Though this is true, I am convinced that this is not the sole reason that the college is unique, but rather there is a wealth of good reasons that result in this College offering a rich and rewarding experience for a child’s secondary education.
I still remember vividly the tour that I was given by a charming, eloquent Year 7 pupil in May 2010. The warmth of the welcome I received from the College community during my interview weeks later was palpable and I feel wholly privileged to have been appointed as Headteacher here from September 2010. It is that warmth together with the friendliness and purposeful atmosphere of the College that make this school unique. It is a true community that fosters mutually respectful relationships and values in all stakeholders.
At Robertsbridge, we are committed to developing each and every individual to their full potential. We offer a diverse and balanced curriculum that enables engagement from every student and equips them with the necessary skills for life-long learning. We recognise the ever increasing demands of the 21st century and strive to develop independent learners with a thirst for knowledge, aware that they have received an education that has been robust in preparing them for the adult world.
Every student’s progress is tracked to ensure they achieve in line with and beyond expectation and leave the College with qualifications fit for higher education and the workplace. Any students in need of support are offered mentoring to ensure that potential underachievement is identified early and addressed thoroughly. It is our belief that Every Child really does Matter and at the core of our understanding is that a happy child is an achieving child.
