How to make contact as a parent
Parents wishing to contact the college regarding their children are requested where possible, to follow the protocol as given below. By so doing you will hopefully avoid repetition and delays in getting answers to any concerns you may have.
For concerns regarding lessons/homework, teaching/learning issues, please in the first instance contact the subject teacher.
For concerns regarding pastoral matters or behaviour, please in the first instance contact the learning mentor.
There are three main ways of contacting either of the above:
- by using the child’s planner, which is looked at regularly by staff
- by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org, the email enquiry will be received by a member of our support staff team who will then forward the email to the relevant member of staff
- you can contact us by phone and leave a message which will be passed on to the member of staff
In most instances all matters can be addressed at this initial level. However if you wish the matter to be pursued further, or if the member of staff feels that it needs dealing with by a higher authority, there are two paths that will be followed, as shown below.
|Teaching & Learning||Pastoral / Behaviour|
|Subject Teacher||Learning Mentor|
|Faculty / Subject Head||Head of Year|
|Senior Leadership Team||Assistant Head > Deputy Head|
